Rotary Club of Mineral Wells is continuing to hand out $1,000 checks to each of the six local groups that serviced Rotary's flag routes this year.

Pictured above representing Mineral Wells High School Theatre are Principal Jon Almeida, MWHS Theatre Troup 4607 President Tori Echols and Theatre Director Seth Hunter Williams.

Also pictured are Rev. Eric Douglas and Jolene Williams with FUMC Mineral Wells youth accepting their check.

The other groups participating this year are Mineral Wells High School Class of 2019, MWHS' Rotary Interact Club and youth groups at New River Fellowship-Mineral Wells and Indian Creek Baptist Church. All six groups have been extended opportunities to continue in 2018.

Rotary is very happy to have been able to extend this fundraising opportunity to these groups and looks forward to their continued partnership. Each did a fantastic job in the first year of their participation.

Rotary also extends its thanks to the hundreds of residential and business flag subscribers who make this possible. Not only does each $42 annual subscription benefit a number of Rotary community projects and support, but now about half of each subscription is benefitting these six groups and their youth and efforts.

Flags are placed on six holidays – President's Day, Memorial Day, Flag Day, Independence Day, 9/11 Patriot's Day and Veterans Day. If you would like to subscribe to the Rotary Club's program download a form here, fill it out and mail it with your check to the P.O. box listed. We will then schedule installation of the plastic sleeve, mark the location with a blue Rotary logo and place your home or business on that area's route list.

Please consider supporting Rotary Club of Mineral Wells and the six participating groups while displaying your American pride with a beautiful U.S. flag.
